Alondra Lewis
Alondra, mom of 14 and 4-year-old boys, became a DONA-certified doula to advocate for all women. After having gone through some of her own delivery challenges, she wants to make a difference in other mother’s pregnancies. She is well versed on the nutrition aspect for both mother and baby and can help you with guiding that. She is beyond excited to start Inner Bloom Doula Services!

Nia Nixon
Nia became a doula to advocate for the person giving birth during such a beautiful moment. All birthing persons need an advocate while pregnant and laboring as well as in postpartum. Nia wants to be that person while simultaneously trying to shrink the high death rate gap of BiPOC women. She is currently in school to become a Nurse-Midwife, in order to take larger strides on this mission. She would love to be your Doula!
Who We Are
Inner Bloom Doulas is a birth worker company started up by two sisters, Alondra Lewis and Nia Nixon, who love to help women throughout their pregnancies, birth, and postpartum. We care for women during their vaginal or cesarean delivery. We are equally able to care for you in home birth, birthing centers, or a hospital setting. We draw on our professional training, knowledge, and experience to provide emotional and physical support and aid in communication with you, your partner, and hospital staff to ensure you have the necessary information to make informed decisions as they arise in your labor. We will guide you with reassurance and perspective, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, light touch massage, positioning, and other techniques for comfort. We are in a working relationship with you, not hired by your caregiver or hospital, though we are all working together to support you in your birthing experience.

Advocates
A birth doula does not want to take power away from a client but help her use her own power. In the event the client is unable to advocate for herself, her birth partner is also equipped to advocate for her. During the birth, a doula also reminds clients of their right to ask questions and make informed decisions.
Birthworkers
Doulas are nonclinical birth workers who are trained to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to pregnant people in the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods.
Healers
Inner Bloom Doulas believe we are Mothering the Mother. Our goal is to enable a woman to have the most satisfying and empowering experience she can through this joyous journey. We are supporting spiritually, and guiding mothers through past traumas, be they birthing or other, to help them experience the most healing birth possible.
